It’s so cold outside that the dogs run out and do their business and come running right back in! The bitter cold reminds me of the time I was in Germany with some friends, about ten years ago, and we toured the concentration camp, Dachau. I don’t think I have ever been as cold as I was in that place. I’m not sure it was just the weather that made me feel that way as we walked through the grounds that included the ovens where people were placed after they were killed in the gas chambers; a chilling experience indeed.
So even with the bitter and wicked weather we are currently experiencing it is nothing compared to the cold to the bone feeling you get on a winter’s day imagining what went on in the not to distance past in our world. It makes you realize that the cold you get from ignorance and hate can be far worse than the cold you get from Mother Nature.
