I have been doing a little research as to the cost of armaments of the military and it is not cheap. Anyone who says that there is no profit in war is very naïve. Governments put millions of dollars into developing to and better types of warfare technology. Governments also spend millions of dollars on projects that are cancelled because they are considered a waste of time. That means that they put millions of dollars into the project before even deciding if it is worth it or not; what a waste of tax dollars!
Another thing to note is the price of an individual’s weaponry. The M16A4 rifle that is used by most American soldiers these days is sold at around one thousand to one thousand five hundred dollars each. If every single soldier has one of those rifles then you can see where so much of the money is spent; and if you were around when they discovered the military spending $1200 for a hammer then you might just question the cost of this rifle.
Anyone who thinks that no one profits from war is very naive and very wrong. The companies that sell those guns make huge amounts of money. And that is just the guns. Other companies make the jets, tanks, vehicles and uniforms, etc. and the military buys from companies that have been profiting from war for a long time. The larger question is this; are wars started to boost corporations? Look at some of these corporations and the people who run them (ex government and military personnel) before you answer. What you find may surprise you.
