Do you ever think back at the games you use to make up when you were a kid? We could find the most random things and some how the imagination could come up with some game that seemed to enrapture us for hours and leave us with smiles on our faces for days, and now our minds flutter within moments of discovering a new thing.

Growing up in Texas, especially during the scorching Texan summers, we would melt inside the houses, and someone explain to me why, but we would always rather be blistering in the sun which makes no sense to me now. Well our house was surrounded by pecan trees and in the summer that meant tons of pecans covering the ground. That combination along with growing up with an even number of girls and boys in the family and recently seeing some war movie, probably T2, my stepbrothers came up with ‘Pecan Wars’. Really not very creative and really quite dangerous…. collect as many pecans in your shirt and then on the count of 3, in 2 teams start chucking pecans as hard as you can at the enemies, a.k.a. your sister who is 6. How did I survive that one?
